Bayridge Taxi Service became the latest entity to add its support to this year’s NaMilCo Football Festival when General Manager Mark Griffith made a presentation of a Cell phone and $5,000 worth of credit to Vice-President of host club Fruta Conquerors at the Service’s location on Sheriff Street yesterday.

Griffith in brief remarks stated that for quite a while he was in search for a programme to make a positive contribution that will be impacting and after seeing and reading about the
Namilco Football Festival and what the financial gains derived do for the Tucville ground and the Fruta Conquerors Club he decided that making a contribution to the Festival is the right thing.
Thompson in return said that he is extremely pleased to hear that the club has been identified as one that is making a positive contribution to the development of youths and by extension the society at large, adding that Griffith’s gesture and interest shown is timely and very encouraging.
Meanwhile, action in the Namilco Football Festival continues this evening with two exciting matches, starting at 18:00 hrs when Buxton United tackle Camptown and that will be followed by the feature clash between the Guyana Defence Force and Buxton Stars from 20:00 hrs.
At stake for the winner is $500,000.
