The third Day of Interaction for 2010 organized by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport / National Sports Commission and the Regional Administration, Region # 3 will be held at the Goed Fortuin Community Centre Ground today.
Some five hundred plus athletes and officials are expected to participate in a number of sport activities in the West Demerara community.
Athletes will compete at Softball Cricket (male and female), Table Tennis, Volleyball, Circle Tennis, Domino, Football, Draughts and Chess.
A March Past by athletes and officials and remarks by Regional Chairman, Mr. Julius Faeber, Director of Sport, Mr. Neil Kumar and Hon Dr. Frank Anthony, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport will highlight the Opening Ceremony.
Other Regional and Political Officials will also be in attendance.
There will be adequate police and medical presence throughout the day. The selling and or consumption of alcohol will not be allowed at the venue before or during the activities.
At the completion of the competitions, trophies and other prizes will be presented to winning teams and individuals.
