The Godwin Mc Pherson Foundation has organized a series of activities for next weekend to mark its first anniversary.
The Foundation was established in October 2009 following the death of the former Army Officer who had devoted much of his time to participating in community activities and seeking to improve persons’ lives, especially those in the depressed areas.
President of the Foundation is Dr. Aubrey Armstrong, Guyanese Barbados-based Management Consultant, while former Chief-of-Staff Brigadier Edward Collins serves as General Secretary.
The two will be hosting a press briefing today at 2.00 p.m. at the Critchlow Labour College to discuss the work done by the Foundation during its first year and to disclose activities planned for next weekend and the programme for the future, which caters for Guyanese at both ends of the age spectrum, the young and the elderly.
