Nigel Wright, 33, known as “Buck Man”, of 14 Company Road, Buxton, succumbed in the wee hours of Monday morning, after being involved in an accident Sunday night at a popular karaoke night spot on Cemetery Road.
A police patrol in the area transported Wright to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
According to his uncle, Roy Wright, on Sunday night his nephew was outside a nightspot on Cemetery Road. “All I hear is a man say to me; is you nephew get knock down…They say that a white car was heading East and pitch he over to another bridge.”
The uncle explained that he leant that the driver of the vehicle might have been a policeman, and that his white car was impounded at the East La Penitence Police Station. However, the car was later removed to another location.
An eyewitness disclosed that Wright was at the nightspot and he was chased out by someone, which caused him to run into the path of the vehicle that was travelling at a fast pace.
When East La Penitence Police Station was contacted, an officer directed all queries to the Public Relations Officer.
