Yam’s Liquor Store located at two Public Road, La Penitence, was once again the target of robbers in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. They have so far cost the proprietor millions of dollars in valuables altogether for this year.
According to the proprietor, Colin Young, this is the third time this year that his business establishment was robbed, and what he has noticed is that it appeared to be the same persons carrying out the robberies, since the men showed inside knowledge of the building.
He explained that the three locks on the side entrance to the bond were severed, and the two locks on the internal grill were also cut off; while the robbers detached a fluorescent lamp and carted off cases of beverages, and other valuables.
The proprietor said he made umpteen reports to the Ruimveldt Police station but to date no one has been held, although the police have an idea of the usual suspects.
