Household Plus and MACORP will sponsor golf tournaments this weekend at the Lusignan Golf Club.
The Household Plus Medal Play tournament will be played off on Saturday, while the annual MACORP Classic will be staged the following day, Sunday.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three players with the best net scores while there will be a prize for Nearest to the Pin for the Household Plus tournament.
Registration will close tomorrow at 16:30 hours.
Tee off is at 12:30 but there will be the usual briefing at 12:15 hours.
On Sunday, MACORP’s Managing Director Jorge Medina will lead a strong field in the tournament.
Club Captain Patrick Prashad said that a record number of players are expected to compete this weekend ahead of several major tournaments lined up in the coming weeks.
The field will see last weekend’s winner Carlos Adams, Bholaram Deo, Mohanlall Dinanauth, Mike Gayadin, Kishum Bacchus, Alfred Mentore, Robert Hanoman, Chatterpaul Deo, Muntaz Haniff, Ian Gouveia, Munaff Arjune, Clifford Reis, Colin Ming, Mel Sankies, Francois Montour, Troy Cadogan, Geert and Rita Heikens, William Walker, Albert Russell, Mike Mangal, Imran Khan, Christine Sukhram, Dr. Ram Singh, Joaan Deo, Hilbert Shields, Albert Semple and Mark Lashley in action.
Prizes for the MACORP tournament include the top three finishers with the best net scores, the lowest net in the Ladies flight, lowest gross in both men’s and ladies flight, Nearest to the Pin at hole number 8 and longest putt at the number 7 green.
The presentation of prizes will take place at the end of the tournaments by representatives of the sponsors.
