Sessions being held at two venues
Eighteen Under-19 volleyball players were shortlisted over the past weekend to continue training for the upcoming Inter-Guianas Games which is scheduled to be staged right here in November, at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Coach Levi Nedd met with the provisional squad on Sunday in Berbice at the Port Mourant Training School Court where sessions were conducted before the current squad was selected.
The players chosen are: Jared Jhingree, Quacy Matheson, Trelon Lucas, Jason Seelochan, Rashad Razak, Preston Rodney, Wendell Austin, Rohan Danpat, Luen David, Ian Baggot, Mark Dwarka, Kevon Stewart, Alwyn Adams, Joshua Danhai, Depaul Bandu, Devon Bowman, J. Seenarine and S. Motie Persaud.
According to Nedd, the Georgetown-based players will continue to train under the guidance of Trevor Smith on Saturday from 12:00 hrs, at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, while sessions resume the following day at the same venue from 09:00 hrs.
Meanwhile, the Berbice-based players will continue to practice at the Port Mourant Training School facility under the supervision of Nedd.
It was also disclosed that the females with also be working out under the watchful eyes of Smith and Randy Adams.
