…promises sizeable donations, launches Facebook page
John Lewis Styles will this Sunday celebrate its 7th Anniversary and in recognition of the occasion the company has selected five non-governmental organizations to be the recipients of an annual donation of $100,000 each.
Over the past three years the establishment has kept its promise and has donated a total of $2M inclusive of this year’s donation to the entities.
The NGOs being supported are the Guyana Relief Council, Kids First Fund, NCN Radio’s Needy Children’s Fund, The Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Georgetown
“We recognize the hard work and dedication each organisation exhibits on all projects and we are pleased to be associated with their efforts…This donation highlights our social and ethical responsibilities to society in being a Good Corporate Citizen…We are proud to partner with these organizations as we encourage community growth and development.”
Meanwhile, the company also noted that it has embraced social networking and recently created a Business Page on Facebook.com (www.facebook.com/johnlewisstyles)
The page, it was explained, has been created in an effort to better interact with customers, especially the younger internet generation, by using the conversational marketing technique.
The company believes that the use of Facebook is not only about promoting its (the John Lewis) brand, but allows it to be able to listen to its membership. Members, it was emphasized, have added benefits and are always first to get the insider
information on: Sale Dates, New Arrivals, Tips on Dressing Better, Facebook Only Offers & Discounts and Special Events among others.
“In less than three months we have been able to attract over 3100 members and the numbers continue to grow. We launched our most recent television Advertisement on Facebook before it was even on TV. Pictures of New Arrivals are posted along with pricing so customers are well informed.”
