A post mortem examination conducted on the remains of 51-year-old Linden McPherson, yesterday, revealed that the man died from shock and hemorrhage due to gunshot wounds. It was also revealed that the man was shot twice. The man’s remains have since been handed over to relatives for burial.
A source close to the investigation said that no arrest has been made, as they are still to establish what caliber of weapon was used in the incident.
On Monday, McPherson’s body was found at Seven Miles Ituni road, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound and other marks of violence about the body. The man reportedly had dwelling places at Nottinghamshire, Demerara River and Victory Valley at Wismar.
His identical twin brother, Llewellyn and a relative subsequently took the body to the Wismar mortuary where McPherson was positively identified.
This newspaper was told that the police received an anonymous call and were informed about the body.
