Dear Editor,
After weeks of discussion with the expert on water in this country, I am committed to let the Government know about a cheaper and more effective approach to controlling flooding in the East Demerara Section of our country. Put a seven-door sluice on the Mahaica Creek.
The benefits are enormous.

An obsolete system
Dear Editor,
It’s very sad that the members of the PPP would sit back and allow a few to make such a critical decision selecting the presidential candidate for them.
It goes to show the blatant disregard and the manner in which ordinary members are treated in the PPP. But more than that, this old system will be used to keep Mr. Moses Nagamootoo out of the race.
Those who are in control of the party know that Mr. Nagamootoo is a very strong contender and has lots of support at the grass root level and that is what they are afraid of.
Many of them know that if Mr. Nagamootoo gets to the helm what will happen to them and the truth of everything will come out.
Don’t give up the fight Moses.
