Dear Editor,
Previous references to Harry Gill’s analysis are still relevant as he continues to write his hate speeches attacking the leader of the PNCR and the party.
Him claiming that he is no fan of President Jagdeo is neither here nor there for what is important is that whatever he writes must be based on facts, not fiction and misleading statements from persons who refuse to accept that they were not the people’s choice at the last PNCR Biennial Congress Eelections, and that no way could they be, given the gross disparity in nominations which matched the results.
Mr. Gill’s recent letter is another example of how he writes much but really says nothing central to the argument.
Though accepting my challenge to stay on the issue, where his lies and distortions about the PNCR election process and results were exposed he has not done so and is too much of a “big” man to acknowledge that he was wrong.
Instead he sought to introduce new and irrelevant arguments. In all of our shared letters Gill has not been able to convincingly refute any of the facts that I have mentioned nor has he been able to support his arguments with real evidence as opposed to emotion and fancy sounding empty and shallow speeches.
He has stayed clear of the Joseph Harmon independent and authoritative report on the PNCR elections, its transparency and final results. Like a drowning man clutching at straws he is however, prepared to say anything negative that comes to his mind about the PNCR and its Leader.
The only real response Gill has is to continue foraging for the ill conceived old stories that lack substance and probably initiated by those who seek to undermine the party.
Unfortunately it is people like Mr. Gill who, when critically read sounds like he is making sense but really cannot separate fictitious writing from fact, but believes that he has a duty to shape the beliefs of the public.
It seems that separating fact from fiction does not matter to Mr. Gill for these both appear interchangeable and perfectly acceptable to him. They are not acceptable to me and Gill will know this every time he makes attempt to confuse the public about the PNCR and anything that takes place in the PNCR.
As Guyana continues to suffer under the Jagdeo PPP Government, instead of pulling together Guyanese against the dictators and corrupt government that sows seeds of division and tension among the races, they create disunity, demonstrate greed, and petty politics battling over small issues as they weaken the main force against the PPP.
Gill wants to destroy the PNCR and Robert Corbin over unsubstantiated claims of electoral irregularities even as he flaunts the PPP election results like an alien just come to town and totally oblivious to what is happening around him.
Just look at the ease with which Mr. Gill pronounced on the “free and fair” nature of the PPP elections and the votes gained. He ignores the irregularities of 2001 and 2006 elections, the reports by GECOM and the Court vitiated elections of 1997 under Janet Jagan.
This is the same Harry Gill, brother of PNCR Regional Executive Member who wants readers to believe that he is concerned about the party and its unity.
This is the logical man who now represents a disgruntled few in the party and who is seeking to sow further divisions and conflict within the party under the disguise of caring about our national and internal politics.
Even if he does, perhaps he really does, such weak and shoddy arguments cannot be accepted as valid or credible and Gill must be exposed. This is the same Harry Gill who seeks to flaunt his knowledge, research skills and abilities but who commits yet another fundamental inaccuracy in his argument.
Gill and other detractors of the PNCR and agent provocateurs need to back off or come really good, for their lies and propaganda will not go unchallenged. No cheap political victory, for they will be exposed for the deceivers they really are and what their real motives are.
