Gill comes up with another ‘trick’

Dear Editor,
To Harry Gill’s continued lawlessness and the fact that he is not allowed to break the PNCR rules, he comes up with another trick (“The saga of the defiant Robert Corbin”, Kaieteur News, 25-09-10).
Gill has no respect for the members of the party, its leadership and the rules. Now he is saying that Robert Corbin must quit after elected by the Party’s members, an election Winston Murray also contested, loss and accepted. This is naked bullyism and lawlessness.
Gill pulls a new trick out of his hat and says Winston Murray is better than Robert Corbin.
It was Winston Murray who resigned the Chairmanship of the Party, walked away from us at a time of need and said he doesn’t want to be in the PNCR Leadership. Subsequently he contested an election of the same PNCR, lost and accepted his defeat.
When or if Winton Murray quits again Gill in true style will blame the rules, Corbin or the membership? When is Gill going to respect Winston Murray’s position and hold him accountable?
Robert Corbin was elected by the Party’s membership. Case close!
Those who think they are better than Robert Corbin and should lead the PNCR or have candidates who they think are better to lead, don’t only talk, bring the records and match them side by side.
Stop talking for the sake of talking and show proof of performance, intellectual, personality or superiority. Be prepared to have your choice candidate record publicly exposed and matched.
Those who are not members of the PNCR cannot bring their arrogance and tell members who must be their leaders.
Get thee hence, Gill. Don’t impose your agenda on the membership. You want a say, become a member and abide by the rules. Nothing short of that will be accepted.
Khemraj Ramjattan and Mike Persaud are not interested in the PNCR, its members and minorities. Had they, they would not be telling the Africans who give significant support to the PNCR and the AFC that an African is not qualified to lead them.
They are pushing a racist agenda, wanting African Guyanese to loathe themselves and accept subservient positions and Gill in ‘bang-wagoner’ style is comfortable with it.
He sits comfortably in the USA and though a minority, he has opportunities and respect that are being denied minorities in Guyana.
There is no African that is good to lead unless an Indian or Portuguese says so, it seems. Even when an African is elected is not good enough.
Gill, Guyana has enough racists and agenda provocateurs masquerading as though they care about the suffering of the minorities. If you do, start by respecting them. Enough is enough.
