Security guard pulled from Sophia trench

Residents of 13th Field, ‘B’ Field Sophia on Thursday stumbled upon the body of 45-year-old Mark Anthony Johnson.
According to reports the man’s body was found face down in the trench leading to his home. The discovery was made some time around 06:00 hours.
One resident of the area told this newspaper that the man was last seen alive around 19:00 hours on Wednesday.
“We hear he on de phone telling he boss dat he gon be at wuk in 15 minutes,” one resident said. Another told this newspaper that from all indications Johnson was preparing for work but forgot his bag with his meal and was going back into his yard for the bag.
“De man does catch fits and like he turn back and he get an attack and fall in de trench and lef right deh.”
Shortly after the discovery several of the man’s relatives turned up to see what had transpired. They later said that they found no reason to suspect foul play.
This newspaper was told that the man lived alone and was a known alcoholic.
The man’s working bag was found on his doorstep with a recently cooked meal.
