Giftland Office Max is the latest corporate entity to tangibly support Sunday’s friendly international matches set for the National Stadium, Providence between Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago.
Yesterday at their 14 A Water & Holmes Streets head quarters, Accounts Supervisor Teresa Narine handed over the company’s contribution to Organiser and Director of the Kashif & Shanghai Organisation Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major.
Speaking on behalf of the Company, Marketing Manager Compton Babb conveyed pleasure at being able to join forces with the other entities who have contributed towards the successful hosting of Sunday’s matches which will see the ‘Golden Jaguars’ facing the ‘Soca Warriors’ at the Under-20 and senior levels.
“We are quite pleased to contribute to this first venture and we hope it will continue. The games are going to be good and we encourage the fans to come out and support the local teams.”
Both teams have been hard at training and are expected to do Guyana proud come Sunday where the fans are being urged to wear yellow or gold in support of the ‘Golden Jaguars’.
A third game has been added to the day’s card so fans will now enjoy three games; Linden and Georgetown will now clash in an Under-17 encounter from 16:00hrs. The Under-20’s play at 18:00hrs followed by the main event.
