Sep 19, 2010 Letters
Dear Editor,
May I remind the Commander-in-Chief, President Bharrat Jagdeo and Chartered Accountant, Christopher Ram that this month, September 2010 has been designated “Education Month” among other events.
I am quite certain that your educators of your respective alma maters are embarrassed from what transpired at the Cultural Centre on September16.
By fluke, I watched the WRHM Channel 7 broadcast of the news and was very disappointed by the President’s actions in preventing Mr. Ram, who is a legitimate policy holder of CLICO from voicing his question(s).
In my opinion, it is a clear indication that the President is afraid of Mr. Ram and he has an enormous amount of hatred and venom for his elder. It was watching two toddlers in action.
The President should have allowed the Mr. Ram to ask his question(s) and simple responded that he did not have an answer(s) at the moment, but hopefully those answers will be forthcoming at another forum.
Mr. Christopher Ram, you know better and should have never described the President as an “Idiotic” among other names when you were interviewed by the reporter and even said that you have no apologies.
Both of you were disrespectful to each other and a disgrace to the significance of Education month.
President Bharrat Jagdeo, you have every right in disliking the dailies, but I would like to remind you that whenever you are on the opposition, the dailies work in your favour and they are some of your best of friends. Think about it.
I hope that some apologies are forthcoming from both parties.
T. Pemberton
