Play in the Banks DIH ‘Nite’ Hockey Tournament which was expected to commence last Monday will eventually bully-off tomorrow evening with four matches, at Thirst Park ground.
According to the fixtures, three Second Division games and one First Division encounter will be played.
In the games scheduled: GCC Ladies take on Hikers ‘B’ from 18:30 hrs and that will be followed by the clash between GCC ‘B’ versus Hikers Ladies and Old Fort ‘B’ set to collide with Western Dragons.
All three games are Division 2 encounters, while Old Fort and Hikers battle in the lone Division One match.
The clash between Old Fort and Hikers in the senior encounter should produce some fireworks with the likes of Aderemi and Askofu Simon in addition to Jason De Santos and Dwight Sullivan expected to feature in the former’s line-up, while the latter’s unit should include Jerazeno Bell, Timothy McIntosh, Robert Fernandes, Shane Samuels, Azad DeAbreu and Devin Munroe.
Hikers have been one of the more dominant sides locally and should be favoured to get past Old Fort.
