Lethem gets spanking new mall

The commercial zone in Lethem in Region Nine will soon boast a spanking new Mall now being constructed by businessman David Lam. Lam, who has invested some $32M to put up the new facility, said that the mall is slated to be opened for business in the first week in October.
The mall which houses 16 units, will retail everything  from electronics, to haberdasheries and will also house a restaurant and an internet café..
The internet café will provide a free service to all of the children in the community.
According to Lamb who also already operates a service station in the area, it is his way of giving back to the community.
Most of the units in the mall have already been rented out and among the tenants are Surinamese and Brazilian investors.
The mall is located at Barrack Retreat in the commercial zone, close to the airstrip in the locale.
