A mother of five, Donna Moore, is appealing to the public and relevant authorities for assistance in saving her daughter’s life, since she needs to undergo surgery for a tumour in her head.
A document seen by this newspaper revealed that her daughter, Natasha Moore, 31, of Section ‘D’, South Turkeyen, East Coast Demerara, is a registered patient of the Neurosurgical Clinic, Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) and is diagnosed with a large Petrous-Posterior Fossa-Cervical Meningioma.
The document was signed by Director of Medical and Professional Service, Dr Madan Rambarran.
According to the Mother, a CT scan that was done on June 23, last, revealed that there was a problem inside her head that affected her brain, and other body functions.
However, her daughter was presented to the Neurosurgical clinic with a history of severe headaches aggravated by coughing which started in 2008. This was followed in 2009 by decreased vision, slurred speech and two episodes of loss of consciousness. Recently she started having bilateral limb weakness associated with unsteady steps.
The mother said that she had a consultation with Professor Ivor Crandon, who recommended urgent surgical treatment overseas preferably at the Centre specialized for Skull Base Surgery.
“They said the best place in the America.”
Donna Moore can be contacted at telephone number 223-2332, or anyone that is willing to donate can do so at a Republic Bank account #10049020015332563.
