Dear Editor,
It is nice to see most everyone calling for justice for the brutal murder of young Sheema Mangar who was cut down in her prime for a cell phone by thieves.
I often called for the old laws on the law books to be changed so real justice could be meted out to those that rob innocent citizens.
I have often said that penalty should be extremely harsh on those street pickpocket-choke and robbers for they will kill to defend their loot.
Those pickpockets/choke and rob parasites will graduate to higher callings where they will join up with gang members who take their orders from gang bosses. Plea bargain in murder cases must be a thing of the past.
How many times must we read where killers murder their spouses or innocent citizens, and when caught, appear in court only to plea deal thereby receiving a sentence of eight years or less?
Is this really the justice most citizens calling for?
Killers will make a mockery of that law and the killings, robbing and raping of innocent citizens will continue with impunity.
Once killers, robbers and rapists are caught and found guilty by a court of law they ought to face extremely stiff penalty in order to put a dent into these atrocious criminal acts against the innocent.
