At Ministry of Education Ground, Carifesta Ave. last weekend, Savage XI defeated Shattaville Masters.
Shattaville batting first made 132 all out in 25 overs. Linden McKoy made 52, Paul Narine 17. Bowling for Savage, Rudy Samaroo took 3 for 14, Vicky Ramsaywack took 2 for 25 off their allotted 5 overs.
Savage XI in reply made 134 for 7 in 23 overs. Hardat Narine top scored with 43 not out and Barlow Lakeram supported with 24. Bowling for Shattaville, S. Samad took 3 for 13 and R. Narine took 2 for 19. Savage won by 3 wickets.
At GCC Ground Bourda; Lall Workshop defeated Mahaica Rangers by 50 runs.
Lall Workshop winning the toss and batting first, made 217 for 4 in 25 overs. Yousuf Mohammed top scored with 95 and was well supported with 75 from Hubert Reece. Vincent Pompey took 1 for 26 and Naresh Chatura took 2 for 30 bowling for Mahaica Rangers.
Mahaica Rangers was restricted to 167 all out with Paul Budhu top scoring with 62. Bowling for Lall Workshop, Yousuf Mohammed took 2 for 20 and Ramesh Persaud took 2 for 25.
Mac Masters defeated Success XI by 133 runs. Mac Masters batting first made 214 for 4 off 25 overs. Rudy Rodrigues made 51, Vinod Lall 45, Danny Mohanram 39, Dennis Mangroo 33 and Mohamed Rafeek 25 were the chief scorers. Success XI were bundled out for 81 with Ricky Persaud, Ryan Singh and Ganesh Persaud taking 3 wickets each.
Results in the Female matches:
Lusignan Street Warriors defeated Wellwoman XI by Run-rate after rain stopped play.
Wellwoman XI batted first made 98 for 6 for their allotted 10 overs. Lusignan in reply made 83 for 3 off 7.4 overs.
In the second Female game between 4R Lioness and Ogle Female Cricket team ended in a no-result. Ogle Female Cricket team were 17 for 1 off 3 overs in reply to 4R Lioness 92 for 3 off 10 overs.
Maria Joseph top scored with 27 and Nikita Madramootoo 25 not out batting for 4R Lioness. Each team were awarded 1 point each.
