Courts Pacesetters stayed fixed in the third spot of the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) Division III League after an easy win in their final game Thursday night on the Burnham Basketball Court.
The 65-54 points win helped the team up their ratio to 5-3 (five wins, three losses), which meant that they will face League winners, Scorpions in their first group of three games when the Pepsi Street Series commences next weekend at the same venue.
Sherman Kyte had 18 points and Drexel Amsterdam 11 points for Pacesetters in the win. Haslyn Hooper scored 18 points for Colours Panthers, one of the teams which ended outside the four top teams that advanced to the next round that is the Street Series. As part of the ongoing GABA calendar of events, the top four teams from both Division I and III Leagues will advance to the Street Series. Teams’ seeding following the League will decide who they play in their best-of-three round robin playoffs next weekend.
