Five year-old up and coming cyclist Nicholas D’Andrade was rewarded with a brand new BMX cycle and helmet compliments of Ricks and Sari Agro Industries Ltd.

D’Andrade who participated in the just concluded 34th Annual National Sports Commission sponsored Teach Them Young 8-weeks cycling clinic held at the National Park received his new machine from Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport, Alfred King.
National Coach Hassan Mohamed MS who has been conducting the Teach Them Young Programme ever since its inception said that the presentation has been an annual feature by Ricks & Sari Agro Industries and is done to encourage young persons in the sport.
Mohamed informed that young D’Andrade during the annual clinic which started on July 12 displayed a high degree of discipline, dedication and determination. D’Andrade won the 6-9 BMX race last Saturday after being given a handicap of one minute. The previous week, D’Andrade had lost the event but was determined to turn the tables his rivals and did just that.
