Play in the Bartica Football Association U-17 division League continued over last weekend with Rivers View and Rising Stars running out impressive winners over Lazio and Potaro respectively to highlight the round of matches at the Bartica Community Centre ground.
Rivers View defeated Lazio 7-0 with goals for the winners coming from Aloysius Edwards with five in the 10th, 22nd, 50th, 52nd and 64th minutes, while Fidel Williams scored a double in the 71st and 76th minutes.
The second game between Potaro FC and Rising Stars FC resulted in Rising Stars also hammering seven unanswered goals past Potaro.
Leon Christian netted a 4-goal haul in the 7th, 20th, 37th and 63rd minutes, while Wesley Baird in the 28th minute, Delon Primus in the 52nd minute and Georgeno Tevreden in the 42nd minute added to the tally.
On Monday in the U-15 division, Beacons opposed Mil Ballers the game ended 2-2. For Beacons, Delon Leacock hit home the double, while for Mil Ballers, Alex Hopkinson and Noel Tobin replied.
Football action continues this weekend in Bartica with Liquid Gold opposing Victoria Kings in the GFF Super League and Linden females battling their Bartica counterparts in the Inter Association competition at the Bartica Community Centre Ground starting from 18:00hrs.
