Newly promoted Riddim Squad Football Club received a sizeable monetary donation from business entity Dependable Spares during a simple ceremony which was held, at its location at Eccles yesterday.
General Manager Joshua Garraway, who acted on behalf of the Company, presented the cheque to President of the club Mark Xavier in the presence of fellow employees.
Garraway questioned on what prompted his organisation to make the donation said that they were always looking to assist in the development of sports and those who participate in it and when approached had no hesitation in agreeing to get on board.
Xavier in his response informed that the money will be used to acquire new uniforms for the club who’ve been promoted to the Premier League in Georgetown by virtue of winning the Division One League, playing unbeaten throughout the competition.
Xavier added that the club has had a remarkable year since its formation and with its promotion to the top tier of local football it is now seeking additional assistance to offset preparatory expenses for the upcoming season.
The players have already started to prepare for the impending Kashif & Shanghai Annual Tournament, while the date for the commencement of the domestic season is still to be determined.
