Bharrat is a promising fella. When Janet spot he she tell everybody that de young man got promise. When he become President he decide to show people he promise suh he married Varshnie. People still talking ‘bout that wedding. Even Varshnie talking ‘bout de wedding.
She tell dem boys that Bharrat promise she to sign de papers to mek de marriage legal; he promise to guard and protect she. That is wha she seh but she claim that de man didn’t keep any of dem promises.
As President, Bharrat promise nuff things. He promise de Freedom of Information Act; he promise Broadcast legislation, he promise a computer in every home and he promise to look after everybody in Guyana. He promise de Clico people dem money and up to now dem waiting.
Dem boys’ seh that he refuse to keep any of dem promises.
He still to present de Freedom of Information legislation; he still to free-up de radio and that was a promise he mek to Desmond Hoyte. Dem boys’ seh that Hoyte dead and gone and Bharrat still to keep that promise.
Now dem boys notice that de man go to some Amerindians and tell dem that all of dem gun get computer and that de whole village gun get solar power. He also promise cheap electricity, Dem boys seh he can’t keep any of dem promise because he promise Fip the road contract and Fip didn’t keep his promise. In de fuss place he got Fip and Fip flip; the two things don’t go together.
