Two-day Camp commences tomorrow
The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has named a squad of thirty three (33) players to commence training for participation in a friendly International match against Trinidad and Tobago’s National Under-20 team September 26 at the National Stadium, Providence.
Additionally, the team will also prepare for competition in the Caribbean Football Union Under-20 tournament to be hosted by Guyana, October 6-10. Participating teams in this group will include Jamaica, Grenada, Guyana and the winner of a USVI and Turks and Caicos play-off scheduled for September 15.
According to the GFF, the initial training camp will start tomorrow and end on Saturday. Players are requested to report to the Diocesan Youth Centre, Georgetown, at 17:00hrs (5:00pm).
National Under-20 Squad Technical Development Officer Lyndon France, Head Coach Gordon Braithwaite, Assistant Coach Keith Ojeer and Goalkeeper Coach Andrew Hazel will be in charge of the Camp.
The following players were named:
Goalkeepers: Richie Richards (Alpha United FC), Dorville Stewart (Riddim Squad), Roncy Caleb (Rosignol United), Brian Robinson (Georgetown) and Javano Dos Santos (Berbice).
Defenders: Alden Lawrence (Victoria Kings), Colin Nelson (BK Int. Western Tigers), Les-Charles Critchlow (Buxton United), Keoma Sullivan (Buxton United), Delroy Ferdinand (New Amsterdam United), Albert Smith (Hosororo), Calvin DeSouza (Victoria Kings FC), William Europe (Santos FC), Deshawn Joseph (Net Rockers FC) and Adrian Adonis (Sunburst Camptown).
Midfielders: Bevon Moseley (BK Int. Western Tigers), Eon Alleyne (Fruta Conquerors), Jermain Batson (Upper Demerara), Simeon Matheson (Matthews’ Ridge), Julian Joseph (Port Kaituma), Daniel Wilson (Pele FC), Garson Baker (Rosignol United), Jalaal Greaves (Sunburst Camptown), Amos Ramsay (Riddim Squad), Seon Peters (Flamingo) and Dwayne King (Kamarang).
Forwards: Tryon Bobb (Uitvlugt), Telson McKinnon (GDF), Sheldon Holder (Pele FC), Dwayne Lawrence (Fruta Conquerors), Andel Norton (Bartica), Michael Crandon (Bakewell Topp XX), Olvis Mitchell (Port Kaituma) and Nicholas Parbhudial (United States).

Berbice Inter-Block Football underway
Action in the Berbice Inter Block football competition commenced August 28 with Liverpool defeating Rose Hall Town 4-1 at the Scottsburg Ground in Corriverton.
Scoring for Liverpool were Darren Waldron (1), Keron Grenville (2) and a defence error. Troy Paul made the lone response for Rose Hall. Action continues Sunday with a Double-Header form 2:00p.m at the Scottsburg ground. #51 Village take on Corriverton and Eversham battle Rose Hall Town in the two scheduled games.
