Biggest Loser & Ms. Best Legs to woo crowd

Bodybuilding lovers, supporters, fans and followers are expected to pack the Diamond Community Centre Ground on Saturday September 11 for the inaugural Bodybuilding, Ms. Best Legs and The Biggest Loser shows organised by Total Fitness Gym, located at Grove on the East Bank of Demerara.
The Biggest Loser, Who Will It Be? A few competitors contesting in the Biggest Loser competition in a light mood after another workout at the Total Fitness Gym on Monday evening.
Over 30 competitors are expected to grace the stage as they battle for supremacy and the attractive prizes on offer.
Apart from the Ms. Best Legs and the Biggest Loser competitions, the organisers have reported that there will be a Novice competition between gym members in the Bantamweight and Welterweight divisions while the seniors will collide in the Open category.
The buzz and hype around the gym has been on the rise and when Kaieteur Sport visited on Monday evening athletes were seen busy at work as they seek to get the edge over each other with well carved, toned and ripped bodies for competition night.
Gym Manager/Instructor Videsh Sookram disclosed that he was very pleased with the level of commitment all the athletes have shown to date pointing out that it is one big family despite the fact that his members will be competing against each other on September 11.
Tickets he said have been going quite nicely with admission to the show only costing $1000.
Apart from the Bodybuilding aspect of proceedings, popular dance group ‘Dance Fanatics’ will be entertaining the audience.
The primary aim of the Biggest Loser competition Sookram stated, is to help the participants become serious about their physical condition and work towards developing healthy lifestyles.

Participants have been placed on a special diet plan; follow a particular gym and training schedule which include aerobics, weights training and jogging sessions on the Linden Soesdyke Highway.
Their path to a renewed vision and discipline for life commenced on May 6 and will culminate competition wise, on September 11 at the Diamond Community Centre Ground.
Among the prizes for the winner of this segment of the show are a Digital Camera and hamper sponsored by Digital Technology. Fitness Express, a Nutritional and Supplement Store will also present a hamper of one month’s supply to the winner.
Total Fitness athletes are in for a challenging weekend since the Guyana Amateur Body Building & Fitness Federation will be hosting their senior Mr. and Ms. Guyana Championships on September 12 at the National Cultural Centre.
Fitness Express will also be donating hampers of one month’s supplements supply to the winners of the Ms. Best Legs and male categories.
