Four teams, Campbell Town, RH Lions, Airstrip and Masters will collide from Friday to determine who will be crowned the Ministry of Sport sponsored Mahdia Inter Block football champions for 2010 at the Mahdia Community Centre ground.
All four teams will be in action on Friday with Campbell town battling RH Lions and Airstrip facing Masters. The winners will battle the losing teams for a place in the semifinals fixed for Saturday.
The respective semifinals winners will clash in the Grand Finale on Sunday to crown the champions.
The winner of this tournament is assured of an attractive cash prize sponsored by Mahdia businessman Roger Hinds. Hinds had previously made a commitment to support the Inter-Block in any way possible and despite suffering significant losses in the recent fire that ravaged a section of Mahdia recent, he has unwaveringly maintained his support for sports.
Parliamentary Secretary within the Sports Ministry Steve Ninvalle will be on hand to open the tournament. Keen competition is anticipated among the teams.
