According to reports, two men posing as customers held up a sales clerk and a secretary before robbing the establishment of $1.5M.
Kaieteur News understands that the two men went to the establishment and enquired about a vehicle for sale.
When told the price, they advised the salesman that they should go into the office where they could discuss the sale in detail.
Once inside, they held the two employees at gunpoint and relieved them of their personal belongings.
Not satisfied, they forced their way into the manager’s office and ordered their two victims to lie on the ground while they ransacked a drawer and removed the cash, before making good their escape.
The two employees who were alone on the premises at the time of the robbery were questioned, but could not provide investigators with details that could lead to the capture of the alleged perpetrators.
