GTA in Collaboration with GT&T, Ramotar Investments R & M shipping, Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, Imran and Sons, GTM, Babulal Mining, PSC Wireless, GNSC and Kris International and organized by Guyana Tapeball Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport will stage a Super Six Tapeball cricket competition next month.
The registration deadline for the competition has been extended to Saturday July 31 and the Nationwide Tapeball Tournament will begin in August.
The Guyana Tapeball Association, an affiliate of the Guyana Softball League, is set to start their inaugural nationwide tapeball tournament on August 14th with the best of the tapeball teams already indicating their intention to participate in such a tournament.
The finals will be played on September 26 at the Everest Cricket Club Ground.
The Tournament organizers have promised an action filled tournament with all the areas indicating interest.
Some 204 teams have already entered and the deadline has been extended to facilitate the others.
The Tournament is open to all teams, whether it be boys, girls, men and females.
The Nationwide tournament will take the seven a side and six overs format.
The winning team will pocket $ 500,000 and a Trophy, while the losing finalists will receive 200,000 plus a trophy as well.
Additionally, each semi-finalists will collect $50,000 and a trophy, while the respective zone winners will walk away with $10,000 and a trophy.
There will also be lots of activity beyond the boundary as the spectators will also be part of the competition as every spectator will have a chance to be involved in the bowl for cash contests.
