Giftland OfficeMax have partnered with Cool Crew Promotion and Skeet Entertainment to host a variety of sports events that forms part of “The Second Annual East Coast Reunion” under theme “A time to reconnect, A time to Reunite” East Coast Reunion.
In a release yesterday at a simple handing-over ceremony, in which Giftland gave over its cheque to one of the organisers, Lynton Luke, it was stated that the events are geared for the reunion of a community while promoting Sports Tourism on the East Coast.
“In 2010, we are planning 10/10 cricket, football, basketball and pools…for the list of events. We are introducing these events to help promote the East Coast Reunion to our overseas Villagers in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Caribbean” the release stated.
The top three prizes for both the cricket and five-a-side football are $100,000, $50,000 and $25,000 while the organisers have also attracted sponsorship from Digicel, MMC Security, Jerrick’s Funeral Home, Melsha Furniture Store and Ansa McAl.
The events are scheduled to take place in several villages on the East Coast and will officially be opened tomorrow and run through August 2. Giftland’s Marketing Executive, Compton Babb said that the company was pleased to be on board.
