GASA Goodwill Time Trials conclude

Eleven swimmers make times

The Guyana Amateur Swimming Association Time Trials for 2010 Goodwill Swimming Championships set for Suriname from August 13-15 concluded on Sunday last at the Castelani Swim Pool, Carifesta Avenue.
Highlighting performances during the 3-day trails were 13 year-old female swimmer Britany van Lange and 14 year-old boys Ronaldo Rodrigues and Serrano Gonsalves.
van Lange who enjoyed a very good meet at the last Goodwill competition in Barbados last year, capped a wonderful 3 days when she attained the A-qualifying time for the girls 13-14 100 fly on Sunday clocking 1:19.95 the Goodwill A time is 1:19.93.
Also achieving A times on the final day were 13 year-old Soroya Simmons in the 50 back and 14 year-old Serrano Gonsalves also in the 50 back.
Making the qualifying times before this meet were Jaime Jabar, Sheik Amir and Athena Gaskin and Noelle Smith who are both on training stints in Florida USA and England, respectively.
Making their debut at this level will be 12 year-old Shaqueel Amin and 17 year-old Kevon DeMoura.
