The Ex Guyana Defence Force Association (XGDF) domino team amassed 84 games to cart off the spoils when that organization in collaboration with the Black Stallion Sports Committee staged a three team domino competition in memory of Staff Sergeant Carter at the XGDF Sports Club, Princes Street, recently. For their efforts the XGDF collected the trophy that they had put up for the first place team.
Under the Tree Domino team finished second with 72 games while Royal Casino Domino Team finished in the cellar on 64 games. Joseph Ferrier and Carlton Semple both registered 17 games apiece to jointly share the prize for the most games for the winners while Cornell Cumberbatch scored 16 games to take the prize for the Royals.
Meanwhile, the action continued last evening when the XGDF organized another tournament, also in commemoration of Emancipation Day. Teams competing for honours in this competition are Guyana Legion, National Communication Network, XGDF and Royal Casino.
The matches tonight would see MMC, Guyoil, Rest team and Edward B Beharry teams in action.
The competition is organized by Johnny Barnwell. Double six time on both nights is 19:00hrs.
