Detectives are yet to identify the middle aged man who was fished out of the Vlissengen Road Canal on Thursday.
When contacted yesterday officials from the Lyken Funeral Home said that no one has come forward to identify the body.
The man who is of African ancestry and appeared to be in his fifties was dressed in a Khaki pants and shirt.
He was also wearing a brown Timberland boots and sliver wrist watch.
The police also retrieved a Nokia cell phone, a bunch of keys and $120 which was in his pockets.
There were no visible marks of violence on the body, and the police have surmised that he might have slipped into the canal and drowned.
The discovery was made at around 10:00 hrs on Thursday by two boys.
Persons with missing relatives are asked to check with the Lyken Funeral Parlour.
