Several football affiliates benefited from a team manager’s workshop organized by the Guyana Football Federation, conducted at the office of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), 17 Dadanawa Street Section ‘K’ Campbellville and facilitated by former General Manager of the National Football team, Maurice John, General Manager of teams, Aubrey Hutson and former National Team Manager, Rawle Adams.
More than two dozen managers were lectured on topic that included accountability, the role of the manager, management as a team behind the team, support mechanisms, professional outlook, player policy and team travel and accommodation.
The participants were required to possess at least three subjects at the GCE or the CXC Examinations and a working knowledge of computers, or three years experience in managing people or business at the place of their employment.
The session got underway at 09:00hrs and concluded at around 15:00hrs at the end of which the participants felt that they has benefited tremendously from the exercise. They left the forum far more informed of the intricacies of management and equipped to perform future managerial functions towards the betterment of the sport.
