Trinidadian Ravi Singh, who is here to compete at tomorrow’s Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club Meet, said he is here to compete with all seriousness and will be looking to clinch the Group 3 division title.
Singh, who drives a yellow and red trimmed tube-framed Mazda RX 7 Third Generation car is no stranger to the South Dakota Circuit and even reminded this newspaper of the fond memories he’s had since he began racing here.
The Trinidadian won the category last year and since that time had the car stripped and rebuilt to improve its performance.
“I have to say thank God that we haven’t had any problems so far and I do not anticipate any heading into tomorrow’s showdown,” Singh mentioned.
He pointed to drivers such as Kamal Seebarran and the Gayadin brothers (Ryon, Gavin) as the ones to keep a keen eye on in the absence of Ryan Rahaman, who has moved up to the Group 4 division.
Singh, who stated that he loves to compete in Guyana, said he is much at home here and thoroughly enjoys the friendly atmosphere.
Vishok (Persaud) and all the other guys really make me feel at home and I want to say thanks to the guys who’re all great.” He thanked his sponsors Presidential Insurance and Race Tech Engineering for their support.
