A short notice?

Dear Editor,
A Government advertisement on page 35 in the SN on Sunday, July 11th, 2010, caught my eyes. It was a tender for Design, Fabrication and Installation of signs along the Linden Lethem road. No doubt this tender will be worth millions of dollars.
My query is the date of publication was Sunday July 11th 2010 and the deadline was Tuesday July 13th 2010.
I hope this advertisement was published in earlier editions of the print media since the short notice does raise an eyebrow.
