– Loses Boys final
Despite going down to the Cayman Islands in the Boys final, defending champions Guyana retained the overall team and Girls titles as the curtains came down on the Caribbean Junior Squash Championships, held in Grand Cayman yesterday.
The Guyanese Girls made it three in a row after defeating Jamaica 4-1, while the Boys were edged out by the Cayman Islands 2-3.

U-13 -Iain McCallum bt. Patrick Fraser 11/1, 11/8, 11/3
(Girls)- Under-19-Ashley Khalil bt. Brooke Burrowes 11/7, 11/9, 11/8
U-19 -Keisha Jeffrey bt. Lauren Mahfood 11/6, 11/6, 11/3
U-17 -Mary Fung-a-Fat bt. Jessica Perkins 11/4, 11/4, 11/4
U-15 -Victoria Arjoon bt. Mary Mahfood 11/8, 11/6, 11/5
U-13 -Taylor Fernandes lost to Alyssa Mullings 5/11, 11/8, 2/11, 4/11.
Meanwhile, Guyana picked up four of the five individual finals the previous day with Jean Claude Jeffrey, Ashley Khalil, Mary Fung-a-Fat and Victoria Arjoon capturing titles.
Jean Claude Jeffrey defeated Trinidad and Tobago’s Nku Patrick 11/8, 8/11, 11/8, 4/11, 11/2 to grab the U-15 crown; Victoria Arjoon then beat another Trinidadian Charlotte Knaggs 12/10, 13/11, 11/8 for the Girls U-15 title; Bermuda’s Noah Browne beat Guyana’s Jason Ray Khalil 11/9, 11/9, 8/11, 11/8 for the Boys U-17 title; Mary Fung-a-Fat eased pat Cayman’s Kristina Myren 11/9, 11/6, 13/11 for the Girls U-17 crown and in an All-Guyana affair Ashley Khalil defeated Keisha Jeffrey 11/4, 11/5, 6/11, 11/7 to bring home the Girls U-19 title.
