Convicted prisoner, Rawle Wallace, wanted his freedom so bad that he staged a daring escape yesterday while on outdoor duty in the city.
However his freedom was short-lived. He was recaptured around 20:00 hours on Croal Street in the city.
Reports reaching this newspaper stated that following his escape from the prison weeding gang, a manhunt was launched for Wallace, who hails from East Ruimveldt. It did not take the authorities too long to locate him.
Instead of completing his sentence for simple larceny, Wallace will now have to spend additional time in jail for his efforts.
