Returning after a nearly one-year hiatus former Group 2A champion Syed Hassan is on a mission to reclaim his title.
Hassan, who was seen at the Dyno Jet testing facility at Industrial Site yesterday, told this newspaper that he is extremely hungry to recapture his crown and is in the height of preparation to do so.
Hassan, who ruled the division at one time, before a heap of mechanical problems forced him out of competition for sometime said he is eager to compete on Sunday and sounded an ominous warning to the opposition. “So far everything is going fine and I’m scheduled to undergo testing on the Dyno Jet today which will give me a better indication as to where the machine is right now,” Hassan informed.
Another driver to have installed a new engine, Hassan sounded optimistic about his chances of doing well on Sunday even though he admitted that most of the cars in the division have become faster and the category is very competitive.
“All the drivers and machines are getting more advanced and I want to urge fans to ensure that they are there at the Circuit on Sunday to witness a day of high-class racing and I daresay this is anticipated in every category,” Hassan noted.
He said his car has always had a large fan following and he will be aiming to recapture that base with a good performance.
He extended his gratitude to sponsors Cartronics out of Miami, AJ Import & Export and Aliyah Fashions for their support.
