Barbadian motor racer Mohamed Bhana, who competes in Group 2B, believes that this time around he will produce a far better performance that his last visit here.
Bhana, who drives a 2nd Generation Mazda RX7 based his assessment on his previous visit here where he climbed out of Group 2B into the Group 3 category and registered a commendable third place finish.
“Since that last Meet, our preparations have been going good and our handling of the car has improved immensely,” Bhana told Kaieteur Sport during an interview yesterday at the Guyana Motor Racing & Sport Club.
He added that work on the suspension has been ongoing since the last Meet and they are quite satisfied with the progress made so far, while indicating that they will use this event to determine whether an upgrade on the engine will be necessary before the November Meet.
“We have at least two to three options with regards to the further development of the car and that will be decided on after Sunday when we sit down and analyse our performance,” Bhana informed.
He disclosed that he loves racing at the South Dakota Circuit and was indeed glad to be back in Guyana.
Bhana extended thanks to his sponsors Castrol (Barbados) and Ray’s Auto Sales, two Companies that have stood behind him over the years.
Special thanks were also extended to Gavin Gayadin, Kamal Seebarran and Justin Jardine, who’ve all been very supportive during his stay here in Guyana.
He urged all motor racing fans to converge at the Circuit to see an anticipated day of exhilarating racing and daredevil rivalry.
