… another family claims wrongfully targeted
As the police continue the manhunt for wanted man “Cobra”, another family is claiming that it is being wrongfully targeted by the police.
Tiffany Greenidge, of 161 Laing Avenue, said that police searched her home twice within 24 hours in search of wanted man “Cobra”.
The woman yesterday explained that around 20:30 hrs on Thursday night the police swooped down on her home in search for the wanted man.
Greenidge said that after searching the home, and coming up empty handed the police left.
However, to the woman’s surprise the police returned hours later, still in search of the wanted man.
The woman explained that around midday on Friday she heard a loud banging at her front door.
She said that her mother and her three-month-old baby were at home, when the police returned.
The woman said that as soon as she opened the door, one of the policemen pointed a gun in her face.
Greenidge said that she began telling the police that it was just her mother and young child who live at the address.
Not feeling satisfied the lawmen carried out a second search on the property. The police found nothing and they eventually left.
Greenidge said that she does not know the wanted man and cannot understand why she is targeted.
She said that she and her mother are not liked by many in community and questioned if someone with whom they had a misunderstanding may be the cause for the police harassment.
