The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation will be out to retain their title when the organizers of the second annual Guyana Tapeball Cricket League (GTCL) stage the 10/10 Cricket Competition at the National Park Tarmac, Thomas Land Georgetown on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July. Eleven other companies are scheduled to participate in the tournament.
Yesterday afternoon at a simple ceremony at his company’s Vlissengen Road and Lamaha Street Kitty offices, Brand Manager, Marketing and Distribution (M&D), Brian Perreira, handed over a cheque of an undisclosed amount to the organizers of the tournament to help offset the expenses. The M&D also sponsored the winner’s trophy.
Mr. Perreira expressed pleasure at the undertaking even as he pledged continued support for activities of this nature.
President of the GTCL, Shane Austin, then expressed his gratitude to Perreira for his support while assuring that the contribution would go a far way in making the event a success. M&D’s head office is situated in Ruimveldt and is an agent of Neal and Massy.
