Dear Editor,
I am writing this letter to endorse Mr. Sasenarine Singh and the other writers who mentioned Major General Ret’d Joe Singh as the Coalition presidential candidate.
There is no word yet from the others. There is so much suffering in this beautiful country with vast resources, mismanagement by fraud and crime. I am glad that Mr. Robert Corbin cleared the air in one of the daily newspapers about his participation. Well, all, so far so good. He has put the nation in front of politics. Well done, Mr. Corbin.
Mr. Singh, sir, please, you’ve led the Guyana Defence Force with honesty and your impeccable character is what is needed to heal this nation.
Think of this as an honourable duty and sacrifice to all the young, jobless youths out there crying out for a job.
I am sure with your leadership; you will reintroduce the National Service as a means to get the jobless youths off the streets.
This has happened before; let history judge this with your sound leadership.
You can lead this country to stand where it was supposed to be standing. The PPP party is visionless; they don’t have a master plan to lead this country.
The history of their leadership with corruption galore, most murders unsolved with questionable answers. Most in the leadership positions is corrupt, yet Mr. Jagdeo has turned a blind eye. How long can you our savior look on at this?
Mr. Joe Singh is a patriotic Guyanese and I would like him to save this nation which is crying out for leadership and guidance, so please Mr. Singh, do not have second thoughts. Throw your hat in the race. Your name would forever be etched in the history of this wonderful country. You’re the key to prosperity for this country. Emigrants would flood this country at the mere mention of your announcement as presidential candidate.
