Meanwhile, Primary Care Personnel of the club Shanomae Pearce-Baptiste speaking with Kaieteur Sport after the team’s win said that it was a great performance from the girls and it shows that despite their absence from the sport for sometime they were still able to continue their development.
“It was indeed good to see the team win and in the process play unbeaten and it could be that the sport has just enjoyed marginal progress over the period,” she stated.
Quizzed on what is next for the club, Pearce-Baptiste disclosed that they are now setting their sights on the senior tournament which is expected to commence soon and where they hope to maintain their unbeaten streak. “I know that the senior tournament will not be as easy as this one, but we are determined to keep our impressive record intact.”
The team she informed will go back into training immediately in preparation for future competitions.
