‘Chainsaw Benn’ at it again

Madness by government never ceases to amaze me. Lo and behold yesterday (01-07-10) I came across an attractive headline of ‘Chainsaw Benn’ at it again.
I read the story and was amazed at the excuses that ‘Chainsaw Benn’ came up with for damaging one of the biggest company promotional banners in this country.
Mr. Editor, the President of Guyana was praising GT&T for this project, the public was talking of this and their expectations, critics were criticising and the media was printing articles of the “Emagine”, whilst the newspapers were carrying full page advertisement of “Emagine” and still ‘Chainsaw Benn’ has the gall to say that he didn’t know the billboards that he destroyed belonged to GT&T? Where is he living and don’t he keep update on what is happening to Guyana?
That is one of the biggest companies in Guyana and I would find it hard to believe that GT&T would not seek permission first to put up their promotional signs around the country. Before ‘Chainsaw Benn’ asks his staff, if they know who the billboards belonged to and see if they had permission and who give them, he just got them to go and massacre the billboards to prove he’s ‘Chainsaw Benn’.
Here is a company that is trying to take Guyana forward with technology and there is a minister who destroys its billboard because he thinks that they don’t have permission. I guess he must have wanted GT&T to ask him personally and they didn’t that is why he did what he did or did someone else instructed him do it.
