Attractive prizes at stake
Full Group Entertainment and the Guyana Softball League will stage a floodlight softball cricket competition on Saturday July 31 and Sunday August 1 at the Ogle ground on the East Coast, Demerara.
This competition will be organized in two categories; females and males open and will feature all the top teams that play floodlight softball cricket around Demerara. It will be known as the East Coast Emancipation 6 overs Floodlight competition in the male Category which will take place on Saturday July 31 from 2:00pm. The first sixteen teams will be accepted and the entrance fees for this category will be $15,000. The winners will receive $150,000 plus a trophy while the runners up will take home $50,000 and a trophy.
Meanwhile, the Female Category is set to take place on Sunday August 1 and eight teams will battle it out.
The four top finishers will receive medals and in addition to the two top finishers receiving trophies. Entrance fee for this category is $2,000 per team.
Also on Sunday there will be a domino competition with the winners carting off $50,000 plus trophies.
