The Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets First Division team, as part of their Personal Development and Community Outreach Programme, on Tuesday last made a financial contribution towards the re-construction of a relaxation corner for residents of Rose Hall Town. The donation was handed over to the Da’ Entertainment Group which has been mandated by the Rose Hall Town Council to organise events for the township’s 40th Anniversary Celebration in September.
Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster disclosed that the members of the Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets team were more than happy to assist with the refurbishing of the relaxation corner popularly known as Lazy Hall. This historic site is used on a daily basis by residents especially the senior citizens.
Foster complimented the Da’ Entertainment Group headed by Davren Deonarine saying that it’s a group of ambitious youths who are committed to the development of Rose Hall Town.
He cautioned the group to always be honest, hardworking and dedicated because that is the formula for success.
The Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets has also committed itself to sponsor two educational programmes for the group in September when it would organise a week-long celebration for the 40th Anniversary.
Trophies and prizes would be presented to the group for the Spelling Bee and Art Competitions for students in the Township while the team is also contemplating sponsoring the debating competition depending on the budget.
Deonarine, in accepting the donation expressed gratitude to the players and the team that includes Assad Fudadin, Royston Crandon, Esuan Crandon and Delbert Hicks among others.
He assured the club that the Anniversary Celebrations would be of the highest standard and would make every resident of the town proud.
