The recommendations from FIFA Senior Manager of Member Associations Services Urs Zanitti and Marketing Consultant of Member Associations Professionalism Programme Chris Collie who visited Guyana earlier this year for a three –day visit as guest of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) are now with the governing body.
This is according to President of the GFF Colin Klass, who made this disclosure to Kaieteur Sport on Friday during an interview, at the entity’s Head Office.
Klass said that the recommendations were submitted recently and they are in the process of studying them, before making a pronouncement to the media and stakeholders of the sport.
Zanitti and Collie during their visit worked with the GFF to better understand the pathway the GFF intended to use to take the sport forward and to offer recommendations on how they could get there and meet outlined targets.
The two visitors promised to work closely with the GFF over a 24-month period, during which time they aim to conduct meetings with as many stakeholders as possible and to get feedback on the workings of the entity so that they could come up with solutions to improve the sport, but more specifically the marketing aspect.
Zanitti had informed that FIFA’s major concern is to address all issues related to the development of the game.
Klass promised to also address the details of the report with FIFA’s Development Officer when he arrives in Guyana on July 11 to have a first hand look at the progress of the GOAL Project and to listen to any other business related to the sport here.
