Buxton Stars FC have been declared the second Mackeson Premier Football League champions of the tournament organized by the East Demerara Football Association for the period 2009/10 which was played on a two round basis.
This league kicked off in 2009 with seven clubs and saw an incompletion of participation from one of the club’s.
However, with keen competition from the other participating clubs with matches held at the BVTUFC and Buxton Community Centre grounds, an increasing demonstration of the upward mobility of the standard of the football in the association was seen and the final points and position as shown below is a true testimony.
The league which was sponsored by Ansa McAl Trading Ltd, has been the second of its kind for the association.
EDFA wishes to thank all the participating clubs for their support and participation in this league and look forward for their continued support.
Final Points Standing:
Buxton Stars 22
BV/Triumph 19
Mahaica Determinators 18
Ann’s Grove 16
Golden Stars 12
Victoria Kings 12
